A relatively discreet nose at first, but reveals its complexity with aeration, with notes of spice, eucalyptus and wild blackberry. Velvety on the palate. The tannins are young, but not aggressive. Fruity aromas persist through to the finish. A lovely wine that holds up well.

The Moulin des Costes, a 30-hectare terroir acquired in 1961, is the Bunan estates' first anchorage, enabling them to create characterful blends for a Bandol of great tradition. The restanques, open to the Mediterranean, are typical of the appellation, with 45-year-old Mourvèdre and Grenache vines. Château la Rouvière, the second estate, dominates a hillside of steep, south-facing restanques. Owned by the family since 1969, this 21-hectare vineyard, planted with the five grape varieties characteristic of the appellation, is rich in 50-year-old vines.
