This wine exhibits a superb balance between sweetness and acidity, giving it a lively character. It opens with warm notes of leather, baked apple, marshmallow, and melon. On the palate, it is smooth and velvety while maintaining a lively tension, with notes of yuzu and kumquat and a finish spiced with white pepper to keep us wide awake.

Domaine Belargus

Belargus. A name borrowed from the blue butterfly that flits above the most beautiful plots of this 20-hectare estate located in Anjou Noir. Created in 2018 following the acquisition of Isabelle and Jo Pithon’s vineyard, the estate, led by Ivan Massonat, is planted exclusively with Chenin. Already certified organic at the time of its acquisition, it has since turned to biodynamics to produce exceptional single-vineyard wines that showcase this iconic Loire grape variety. And when conditions allow, a few exclusive sweet wines round out the lineup.
