Gault&Millau's review
With its 45 ha, Château Penin remains one of the finest references in the Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur appellations. The wines have good concentration and fine tannins. They have a clearly defined style, with a framework more marked by the limestone and gravel terroir. The whites are seductive, while the rosés and clairets are highly demonstrative. Penin remains the archetypal great Bordeaux Supérieur! 2020 saw the arrival of Patrick Carteyron's sons, Antoine and Etienne, on the property.
