Winery presentation by Gault&Millau
In 1922, Colonel Teed, a British officer in the Indian Army, fell in love with Cassis and settled at Château de Fontcreuse. He produced a great white wine that made his reputation. In 1953, the story continued with Joseph Maffei, a Cassidain by birth and a Royal Air Force bombardier during the Second World War. The current owner, Jean-François Branfo, bought the château in 1987. He farms 25 hectares organically.
