Winery presentation by Gault&Millau
Founded in 1842 by the agronomist Mr. Delisse, Château Magnol began its modern era in 1979 when it became the property of Barton & Guestier. Located west of Bordeaux, the estate spans 30 hectares in the Haut-Médoc appellation, on gravelly and sandy soils that benefit from a favorable microclimate. Classified as a “cru bourgeois,” it has long been committed to sustainable viticulture, first certified to ISO 14001 and then to Level 3 of the High Environmental Value (HVE) standard in 2016. The fully renovated 18th-century château offers 12 guest rooms as well as a wide range of wine tourism experiences, including dinners, food-and-wine pairing workshops, and customized activities.
