Gault&Millau's review 2026

The nose is ripe for Chardonnay, and peach compote is not far off before releasing white flowers and a hint of vanilla. Subtle woody notes follow, along with stewed apple. The bubbles are airy, revealing a slight saline edge and a finish with plenty of tension. The wood adds some substance and tannins to the finish.

AL Chatillon
AL Chatillon
Established several decades ago in the Champagne region, the family business extends over the renowned terroirs of Villers-Marmery (1er Cru) and Verzy (Grand Cru), in the heart of the Montagne de Reims Regional Nature Park. Anthony Chatillon works the vines rigorously throughout the year to bring out the full potential of the grapes. Together with Laure, he enhances each harvest with cuvées crafted on the estate. The vineyard covers 3.5 ha, cultivated with respect for the environment, with High Environmental Value (HVE 3) and Viticulture Durable en Champagne (VDC) certifications. The estate welcomes visitors by appointment.
