Podium, facing the Seine and close to Beaugrenelle, presents itself as a festive bistro with piano-chant. It's a pleasant place, with a retro 1970s-1980s feel. The lighting is perfect, both warm and intimate. The welcome is a little cold, but the service is professional. The cuisine is faultless and rather expensive, with a menu that went from €45 to €60 for a foie gras du Périgord IGP said to be "homemade" by the waiter, followed by a tuna tataki and a disappointingly crunchy brioche perdue. The wine list is expensive and fairly classic. The disco ball comes to life, as does the DJ, from 10.30pm.
