Description

For the Melnyks, cooking is a family affair. Yuliia, the mother, works with her two daughters, Katia and Sofia, in the restaurant they opened in November 2024, a long-held dream that has finally come true. For these three women, cooking is an art, and they make a point of preparing traditional Ukrainian dishes themselves. For lunch and brunch, they serve salty syrnyky (homemade Ukrainian cottage cheese doughnuts), derunys (potato pancakes) with mushrooms or salmon and homemade crème fraîche. Or nalysnykys (thin pancakes) with cottage cheese and cherry coulis. In the evening, a different menu is offered. On the menu: borscht (beet soup, served with crème fraîche, aromatic herbs and garlic pampushka), smoked sturgeon forchmak (Odessa specialty made with green apples, smoked sturgeon and onions, served with a crust of borodinski bread) and varenyky (potato-stuffed pasta, served with crème fraîche and chanterelles).
