Here, Lucas Gaertner showcases exquisite traditional cuisine, drawing on his past experiences, particularly at Robuchon. Although the restaurant is a bit off the beaten path, it’s well worth the walk from downtown to rediscover this well-balanced menu, featuring duck foie gras with candied mirabelle plums, pikeperch fillet on sauerkraut, Riesling sauce, and steamed potatoes; whole veal kidneys with button mushrooms, baby vegetables, and mashed potatoes; and a chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream.
