Chef's Restaurant Last year, we awarded Julie Lafouillade the "Terroir d'exception" prize at the GM Tour Occitanie. Today, Lou Bourdié, where she reigns supreme, niece by marriage and emulator of Monique Valette who made it famous, has become a veritable institution that has spread beyond the borders of the département. Jamie Oliver has spent three days here, Cyril Lignac has been here, and famous and renowned chefs have no hesitation in coming to feast on this generous old-fashioned cuisine. From a tatin of smoked duck breast and escalope of pan-fried foie gras, to a gourmet salad with homemade smoked duck breast, or alicuit, a stew of duck cuts, here it's the noble cuts that you'll find, duck breast and legs, sweetbreads with morel mushrooms, a highlight that can be truffle-flavored in season, famous stuffed cabbage and, to order, old-fashioned stuffed hen or saffron-flavored calf's head. You'll be able to caress your belly all the way through to dessert, with crêpe Suzette (Julie's husband Jérôme officiates), a real showstopper, pastis quercynois or walnut vacherin. It's also a good idea to make a reservation, otherwise you'll hear Julie's apologetic comment that the restaurant is fully booked. Just over 100 wines in the cellar, including the finest Cahors.
