Gourmet Restaurant No raging waves, no emotional breakers, but an address that can still do the trick, before continuing on an invigorating stroll along the Sillon dike. While the well-sheltered terrace at the back is a considerable asset, when the weather's uncertain, the dining room offers a simple but bright and comfortable fallback. Classically inspired, the cuisine offers timeless dishes, consensual and seriously executed. The fish soup is a delight, as is the beef tartar with Brittany oysters. The pavé de merlu à la plancha - a little overcooked - is underscored by a pronounced meat jus. It would benefit from being served with vegetables. This is a less risky accompaniment than risotto, which requires a certain technique if it is not to be a little sluggish. A long list of pleasant desserts: mille-feuille, tarte tatin (good candied apples and thick cream), pavlova, crème brûlée with Tonka beans... Friendly service and a small wine list with well-known references: la Chablisienne, Chapoutier, savennières du domaine aux Moines...
