Khadija and Sabri, mother and son near the new Simone Veil bridge and the Arkéa Arena, have come up with the concept of a French-style bistro that welcomes you from lunch to evening aperitif or dinner on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. In the dining room, on the pleasant patio open all year round, or on the terrace on the Bègles or Bordeaux sides, fresh seasonal produce embellishes and perfumes the plates: a tender piglet shoulder cooked in court-bouillon then roasted in the oven, an Atlantic octopus first cooked in court-bouillon, then snacked on a plancha... A selection of organic wines, chosen to accompany fish and meat, enhances each dish, complemented by a fine range of French whiskies, rums and digestifs. The Moroccan-born chef will also seduce you with a cod tagine accompanied by potatoes and a homemade tomato sauce with green olives, preserved lemon and coriander, the scent of which perfumes the bistro. Dishes to be enjoyed at large family tables, some of which are occupied on Friday lunchtimes by the staff of the UBB (Union Bordeaux Bègles), whose rugby shirts adorn the walls.
