A little over a year ago, this restaurant in Les Ayvelles welcomed new owners—a dynamic mother-son duo: Carine, who manages the dining room, and Jimmy, the chef. This wonderful family team has taken the reins with enthusiasm and expertise, developing a traditional, regional cuisine that showcases fresh, local ingredients and looks forward to welcoming guests as if they were at home—in a place where you can truly savor life, now even in the evenings! The Lunch Menu, offered at lunchtime as its name suggests and featuring a new selection each week, includes a choice of 2 appetizers and 2 main courses for €20 (€15 per main course). It’s complemented by an à la carte menu featuring, among other delicacies, the highly sought-after pork cheek with Orval beer or a fabulous reimagined Ardennes dessert: the mini mollet à la baba. Add to that the fantastic 3-course Gourmet Menu for €40, featuring a starter, main course, and dessert! Wine pairings are listed on the menus, and Jimmy makes a point of checking in with each table to ensure everything is going well. A restaurant that’s been thought out down to the last detail! Bonus: Dining room and terrace. Venue available for private events. Find the restaurant on social media: Facebook (Le pichet) and Instagram (@lepichet.lesayvelles).
