Gourmet Restaurant Don't be fooled by its wise and even a little tradish air, and a menu that looks set to last a long time. If the Galoubet has been filling up regularly for ages, it's for many good reasons. The owner knows what he's doing: he's direct, knowledgeable and professional. The interior is warm and inviting, with beams, stone and tiled floors, an old wooden counter, a large exotic Rousseau-style mural and guitars as accessories to set the mood for a rocking seventies pop funk soundtrack. On the plate, quite a lot of effort for a €39 menu: escargot and mushroom ravioli with parsley, slightly disappointing monkfish and leek (prefer meat, pork loin or onglet), very good homemade paris-brest, confirming the toque. A cellar of regional wines, glasses and jugs, but you can see that it's not made at random, since you'll also find Barral's Jadis, Germain's saumur and Combier's crozes.
