With its cantou, a monumental fireplace typical of the region, this café-restaurant perpetuates tradition with generosity. From early morning onwards, this institution serves as a café, a lively place where regulars, workers and tourists meet for an espresso. Mickaël and his partner, Lucile, treat their guests from morning till night to a local cuisine that gives pride of place to seasonal produce and local producers. In the kitchen, Mickaël composes comforting dishes according to the market: country-style sausage and homemade purée, veal sauté with olives, trout steak with lemon sauce... On the sweet side, chocolate mi-cuit with chestnut cream and poached pear with Marcillac. A low-priced daily menu and a €28 set menu (cheese included) delight gourmets with generous, tasty plates, like this Thai broth with roasted saithe. Everything is homemade, from starters to desserts, in a spirit of sharing and authenticity. In the dining room, Lucile welcomes guests with a smile and ensures their well-being.
