Above the Cours Julien, Lacaille is one of a select group of modern, trendy bistros. It's a pocket restaurant with minimalist decor, well-crafted plates by Nicolas Montel, and a great atmosphere. The à la carte menu offers a range of pleasures at competitive prices: mimosa egg and tabbouleh salad, parsnip velouté with roasted hazelnuts and Parmesan, saithe steak with white cabbage salad and cream of mushroom soup, braised beef cheek with pumpkin cream and full-bodied roasted vegetables, or a floating island.
