Surrounded by a few art dealers, the restaurant “La Scène” has two distinct areas: the fine-dining restaurant in the basement and the bistro on the ground floor. The bistro offers a generally classic menu, with a choice between a set menu for €49 or a few à la carte dishes. We sampled the French toast with chanterelle mushrooms; the sea bream fillet served with a porcini cream sauce and sautéed mushrooms; and the fig crumble of the day. The dining room is pleasant, though somewhat confusing, as guests heading to the fine-dining restaurant stop by the bar first to enjoy some appetizers before heading downstairs. This somewhat unusual setup gives the bistro a unique and lively atmosphere.
