Gault&Millau's review2026
This emblem of the Rue de Béthune is well deserving of its 30-year reputation. The old-fashioned setting and ambience do more than reassure, they whet the appetite for a menu in true Lille tradition, flirting with the estaminet repertoire without losing its brasserie soul: oysters, marrow bones, smoked herring, filet américain, Bercy veal kidneys, welsh rarebit, Audincthun sausage and tournedos, profiteroles and pain perdu-style cramique. An extensive cellar, with unexpected depth and great vintages at sometimes astonishing prices.
