It’s an institution in Annecy. Everyone knows L’Étage, which has been around for 100 years! Taken over in 2013 by Carine and Cédric Chaix, in partnership with Carole Édouard, the establishment features a bar on the ground floor and a traditional restaurant. Chef Emmanuel Maillefer invites you to discover his gourmet, old-school dishes, crafted with high-quality French ingredients. Indulge in Savoyard specialties and must-try classics like steak tartare, Milanese veal cutlet, and beef onglet with Café de Paris sauce—the house specialty. The seasonal menu changes every month. For dessert, it’s hard to pass up the crêpes Suzette and the rum baba. Nearly 500 wine selections pair perfectly with these dishes, which are also available as a daily special (€13) or as a set menu (€38). At the bar, L’Étage offers a fine selection of whiskey, gin, rum, and Chartreuse. All year round, on a pedestrian street, the large terrace welcomes regulars in a warm and inviting atmosphere.
