Description

Chef Alexandre Nowak and his wife, Caroline, opened their own restaurant in Arras at the end of March, after a series of successful experiences in France and abroad that honed their talents in the kitchen and the dining room! L'huîtrière in Lille with Chef Philippe Lor, Le château de Beaulieu in Busnes and Monsieur Jean's restaurant in Lille with Marc Meurin, a prestigious address off the coast of Boston and then in Melbourne, Australia, for Philippe Mouchel and Alain Ducasse's Rech in Paris... The setting is set with the same exacting standards as those found at Iodaline, a bistronomic restaurant with a unique offering in Arras, based around the wonders of the sea and rivers. Fresh, local, seasonal produce (including respect for the reproductive periods of different species of fish), a touch of iodine on every plate, straightforward, singular tastes: savour Joël Dupuch's Parcs de l'Impératrice oysters, vintage La Perle des dieux sardines, light homemade fish juices cleverly enhanced with a subtle harmony of condiments. Don't miss the classic Grenoble-style skate wing, brilliantly executed, or the melting roasted octopus that has already made Alexandre's reputation. And all accompanied by wines carefully selected by the sommeliers at La Cavavin in Arras to match the dishes on offer. Find the restaurant on Instagram (@iodaline.arras) and Facebook (iodaline.arras).
