Above the main street, with its sober facade and tasteful contemporary dining room, this is a very pleasant place, as much for Bavella hikers as for Porto-Vecchio regulars on a maquis tour. A good peasant bacon soup, both rustic and locavore in style, a pancetta and beans pig, good but a little frustrating (the pancetta and a jus were missing to lighten the plate), a good chestnut flan. The wine list is simple and correct, with just the right amount of Corsican wine, including by the glass, and the service is smiling and attentive.
