A tour of everything we love about this restaurant, in no particular order: great flavors, a cheerful atmosphere, a stunning brick-and-stone dining room, and pure delight on the plate. It’s so delightful on every level that it must be carefully thought out and under control, but the true talent of this one-of-a-kind rotisserie also lies in the spontaneity that radiates from the whole experience. Alexandre Gauthier’s teams do everything with enthusiasm, and we’d love to stay for an extended stay just to sample the entire menu. On our last visit, we started with artichokes with anchovies and lemon—served simply yet a true delight and a brilliant idea—followed by a Comac pork rib with its charcuterie sauce, a connoisseur’s dream, before the chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream, a moist cake topped with a soft, warm chocolate coulis and a scoop of vanilla ice cream… Impeccable service brilliantly orchestrated by Louise, who also recommends wines from an excellent cellar of independent winemakers.
