Gourmet Restaurant Frenchie Pigalle isn't your basic bistro blooming all over the arrondissement, mixing cereals and trendy vegetables bowl-style on your plate. There's a guiding principle here, and above all, the work is professional and organized, which doesn't prevent us, after three years at Pigalle, from feeling a certain stagnation. There's nothing to fault in the execution of the plates created and designed remotely by the excellent Greg Marchand, but a little extra drive and enthusiasm would be welcome to boost the mackerel à la flamme with redcurrants and Timut pepper, the very well cooked guinea fowl steamed with leek and Sichuan pepper and the good chestnut kaki and chestnut honey dessert. Good wine selection (Puzelat, Chidaine, Klein, Fanny Sabre...) and interesting choice of beer (English of course) and cider.
