Gault&Millau's review 2026

At Nénesse, regulars come for the family-friendly atmosphere and affordable bistro cuisine. You can choose from one of seven starters for €8: leeks with vinaigrette, celery rémoulade… three daily specials, such as roasted sirloin with homemade fries; and to finish, one of eight homemade desserts for €8: œuf à la neige, chocolate mousse, etc. The cuisine is no-frills at lunch but a bit more indulgent at dinner, featuring dishes like snail casserole, “Nénesse-style” sweetbreads, and vanilla mille-feuille. There’s a small, very affordable wine list and relaxed yet efficient service. Heads up! If you want a table for lunch, you’ll need to arrive early—they don’t take reservations, and the place fills up fast, especially on Thursdays, when they serve homemade fries.
