Gault&Millau's review 2026

In the heart of Lyon, the choice is vast, but it's easy to turn to Carnet gourmand's tiny dining room. Traditional egg rolls are on the menu, but the Hambourg chinois (a small brioche filled with meat and herbs) is also worth a detour, for the lightness of the bread and the tenderness of the meat. The classic chicken à l'impériale offers its share of escapism, while the rarities that have made the house such a success, such as jellyfish salad and offal dishes, are well in place, ending with PuEr tea rice dumplings.
