Gourmet Restaurant A lovely restaurant in the heart of Annecy-le-Vieux, an old-fashioned café where you'd be forgiven for thinking you'd bump into painters from the last century or even the one before. Just above the Clos des Sens, at the foot of the church, this restaurant makes the effort to be authentic with its "menu Canaille", which still costs €45: pâté en croûte, onion tart, œuf cocotte en meurette, spider pork with squash gratin, grilled andouillette with pommes pont-neuf, chocolate soufflé, tarte Tatin... And every Thursday, there's fried chicken on the menu. Drink well, from here and elsewhere (Trosset, Alliet, Da Ros, Dupasquier, La Pinte, Quénard...) with a good choice by the glass.
