With no pretensions or particular faults, this is an indestructible address on Rue de la Vieille Porte, wise and practical, where tourists and locals share tables in good company. The menu focuses on the essentials, and dishes are served quickly: a pleasant plate of cochonnailles with dry sausage and rillettes du Mans, a pont-l'évêque roasted with lardons, a slice of ham grilled a la plancha, or the minced beef pavé. Good value for money on the €17.90 formula.
