We never tire of this aptly named inn, which over the years has become one of the most delightful places to stay in the area. Part hotel, part garden, part bed-and-breakfast, part gourmet restaurant, and part bistro, Cyril and Valérie’s home is a haven of peace in this charming wine-growing village. Le Lucienne occupies the high-end segment without ever being stuffy, offering modern, personal cuisine brimming with creativity. Guests can enjoy soft-boiled eggs with potato purée, morels, and roasted almonds; carrot croquettes with Comté cheese, onions, herbs, and curry; panko-breaded quenelles of free-range chicken kebab with celery root mousseline and Thai chili sauce; and a hot, molten chocolate cake baked to order with green cardamom custard. Brunch is served on Saturday at noon.
