Right in the heart of Flanders, between Steenvorde and Saint-Omer, Kevin Barata and Lucile Prévost’s restaurant has earned a well-deserved reputation! Beautifully decorated in a style that’s both rustic and contemporary—with retro leather chairs, exposed brick, wood, and indigo blue accents, dried flowers, and exposed beams—this spot offers a refreshing change from the usual local taverns. The chef offers modern, artfully plated dishes, such as beef ravioli with blackberries, beets, and leeks; John Dory with peas, chorizo, polenta, mango, and haddock stock; Iberian pork pluma, grilled carrots, plums, toum, and bagna cauda sauce, and a dessert of blueberries, pistachios, and sunflower seeds.
