Opposite Saint-Nicolas church, in the old Saint-Maur district, Clara Tilkian and Théophile Moles open their second address after Au Moulin à Vent in Paris's 5th arrondissement. In this warm, Parisian-style bistro, two rooms on the first floor, another upstairs for private dining, and a terrace around the fountain, welcome large tables as well as more intimate lunches. In the kitchen, Chef Louis-Gabriel Schnerb creates a generous menu of bistro classics and house creations: egg mayonnaise, terrine, marrow bone, porchetta with binchotan, sweetbreads with meat jus or rib-eye steak to share. At the table, plates are accompanied by a fine selection of carefully chosen French wines, served with simplicity in a friendly, family atmosphere.
