Gourmet Restaurant In summer, the terraces are packed, and you'll be looking for a bit of relaxed calm at Chez Fred, in this welcoming corner of the port. Out of season, it's one of the few good restaurants to welcome you, proving that this quality is not only appreciated by tourists. The short menu, the warm welcome from the distinguished owner and the holiday-like décor all combine to create a welcoming atmosphere. The titles are brief, but eloquent. A good homemade terrine, blanquette de la mer, poached and grilled skate, quite generous and well cooked, lemon and blackcurrant to condiment and a tatin, quite personal, rather compotée, but honorable to fix a deserved toque. Drinks are generous, with a selection from all regions and some twenty wines by the glass, including the island wine.
