Gourmet Restaurant A beautiful, typical stone house, well modernized, close to the Charente and the Corderie Royale. Grégory Coutanceau's signature guarantees a high standard of service, with a smiling welcome, attentive service, attentive managers and well-coded dishes. Admittedly, everything seems a little mechanical, but the essential is preserved, if we forget the waiting time between courses: roasted Massonde Basque blood sausage, butternut palet and soy-marinated perfect egg yolk, hake and razor clams with chorizo grenailles, Valrhona tonka two-chocolate cream, almond cookie, gianduja icing and chocolate ice cream. The wine cellar is well thought-out, refined as in all the group's establishments, and well-priced, except perhaps for wines by the glass (apart from the Charentais, which are all over €10).
