With over 120 years of history, it remains an unmissable destination in the district—not only for its superb wine selection (which is also available for takeout at the shop across the street) but also for its excellent traditional cuisine. The menu doesn’t change much, but the enjoyment is always there—whether it’s a pike terrine with leeks, authentic hand-chopped beef tartare, a croque-monsieur with truffle-infused Gouda, duck breast with honey and a Banyuls reduction, or a Basque cheesecake. The service is pleasant.
