Gourmet Restaurant In the 7ᵉ arrondissement, opposite the fire station, Veronatuti is more than just a name: it's a call to visit Italian cuisine. Yet it's not the decor (very basic) or even the lighting (too raw) that will take you on a magical journey. Here, the regulars come first and foremost to taste the classics of the Botte, without falling for the basics and the pizza. By the way, why Veronatuti? The name is made up of the first two letters of different Italian regions, from north to south... an itinerancy that can also be seen on the short map. From Lombardy (with these little buckwheat fritters with cheese) to Sicily with this lovely salad of fennel, fresh onions and Italian oranges. As for the main courses, you'll taste the zita, a short pasta served with a rustic, but good, onion compote, the vitello tonnato, made according to the rules of the art, the octopus with potatoes and saffron being less memorable, before the desserts. A fleur de lait ice cream delicately accompanies a pear poached in red wine, and me "bonet delle Langhe" is a creamy chocolate flan made with amaretto, hazelnuts and a hint of rum, simply delicious. The wine list is short, but also allows you to visit some beautiful regions, with a good choice by the glass. Top-notch welcome from Christophe and Benjamin.
