Chef's Restaurant Close to the Etoile, a time-honored Italian restaurant with a muted setting, Murano chandeliers and white tablecloths. Refinement always comes from the Botte at Sormani, as the chef strives to give style to rather simple dishes: the soft-boiled egg, parmesan cream, fricassee of porcini mushrooms and Colonnata bacon is a gourmet delight; the home-made fried fish, scampi, chipirons, rock fish and fritti vegetables offers a whole program; and the fine choice of pasta e risotto makes you hesitate, between sea bass, Sicilian artichokes, polenta cream, or lemon-fried veal piccata, rigatoni gratin with bacon. We're saving our appetite for the signature dessert "gigantesco" vanilla ice cream, meringue and nougatine, drizzled with liquid caramel. A generous Burgundy, Bordeaux and, of course, Italian wine list to accompany. Friendly service. For lunch, a simple menu at 58€.
