The great Sophie... A real personality and an innkeeper's soul that locals and tourists alike recognize in the streets of Megève. Since 2001, she and her husband have been pampering their guests with attention and sincere smiles in this warmly decorated little restaurant in the heart of Megève. In the carved wooden tables, there's a hole to put the bottle so that it doesn't move! Everyone feels pampered, like part of the house! The menus arrive quickly, and there's nothing extravagant about the dishes: they're local and solid! First come the famous tartiflettes, tartichèvres and other fondues. Then there are the lovely dishes featuring fish and meat. Trout, fillet of beef or veal sweetbreads are sure to please. And when hunting season approaches, the €45 hunting menu is a good option. The sautéed hind is well done, but we'd simply like the polenta to be less salty and served a little warmer. And last but not least, a veritable farandole of desserts, including a lovely warm chestnut cake served with real hot chocolate! The wine list offers a wide range of French vineyards at all price points. A special mention for the half-bottles that are still very much in evidence.
