Gault&Millau's review2026
This century-old house is now home to a fine gourmet address on the outskirts of Angoulême. In this beautiful natural setting, Sandrine and Érick Boux offer an engaging and joyful experience, true gastronomy and a definite sense of welcome. The chef is constantly renewing his ideas, always firmly rooted in his terroir; a mosaic of leeks, crispy langoustines and exotic vinaigrette, steamed line-caught sea bass, crushed fennel with star anise and citrus hollandaise, filet of Limousin beef, pomme anna terrine, asparagus and mushroom ketchup, a dessert of strawberries and pistachios. Antoine Vandenberghe and Marie Friquet, who previously ran L'Épicurieux, are taking over from the Boux couple, who have now retired. More on them soon.
