Chef's Restaurant Fabrice Roche's delicate, precise cuisine is worthy of much praise. In this pretty room on a Croix Rousse street corner, the chef demonstrates his savoir-faire with a well-thought-out lunch formula, developing the arguments for dinner in a very good €42 menu showing fine technique on natty flavors: salmon gravlax pomegranate gel celery oil, duck and poultry like a cabbage stuffed with herbs quince condiment vegetable roots jus with offal, caramelized pineapple with spices creamy peanut exotic sorbet. Serious wine selection, with Rhônes from Usseglio and Alsaces from Deiss, for example.
