Gault&Millau's review2025
In the heart of the famous Reuilly vineyards, close to the Gare du Voyage train station, this handsome 3-star hotel is a Japanese enclave of the highest standard, with its six rooms of typical minimalist elegance, and the fine Berrichonne dishes of chef Angie. Run by Hikari and Takashi Sato, the sommelier, the house offers a most refined country experience, which translates on the plate into a happy alliance between French gourmandise and Japanese technicality. The result is a very fine €50 menu, with six lightly cooked oysters in three versions, roast Langon Limousin sirloin with Japanese-style sauce, sweetbreads with hazelnut butter sauce, or coffee cabbage with vanilla ice cream. Good selection in the cellar.
