Chef's Restaurant Well, this is a nice surprise! All the more so as the Saint-Sernin district is hardly spoiled for choice when it comes to good addresses. And this Saint-Sauvage fits right into that category. Admittedly, it's not exactly up to date, with its trendy style, indus' loft setting and unique hidden menu! But here we're dealing with a beautiful, subdued decor, ultra-sophisticated in every way, a romantic setting ideal for a dinner for two. And there's a real gastro menu offering a tempting choice of four starters, six main courses and four desserts. The plates are generous, well presented and well worth mentioning, despite some slight errors in execution. We really enjoyed ourselves and had an excellent time, with the cuttlefish ink sablé, octopus tentacles (a little firm), creamy zucchini green curry, fennel pana cotta, star anise, the sashimi-style fillet of sea bass, vegetable garden, sesame oil, well worth two toques, as is the sweetbreads with cream of crustacean quinoa soufflé. High prices - you should expect to pay around €70 excluding drinks - for a sequence that doesn't falter at dessert time (Tentation chocolat fève tonka on a pralinoise shortbread base), an uninteresting, more accessible cellar, pleasant, smiling service, without much involvement.
