Gourmet Restaurant The Riad brightens up this tiny pedestrian street in the city center. People flock to this room, which isn't very large, but is so warm, colorful and comfortable. In winter, however, avoid tables too close to the door. The menu may be unchanging, but the quality is constant. The mechouia, well seasoned and served warm, is a real winner. The broth for the different couscous is fragrant and the accompanying vegetables melt in the mouth. The semolina is light and the meats honest. Tajines are an equally attractive alternative. While pastilla with orange blossom is an essential dessert, the orange salad deserves attention. Some French and Moroccan wines: Domaine de la Ferme Rouge ("Terres Rouges"), Domaine de Baccari, Coopérative d'Aït Souala... Lively, smiling service.
