It’s the kind of country inn whose address you always keep in mind, knowing you’ll stop by whenever you’re in the area. Good cheer and tradition are on the menu at Emmanuel Cayot’s, who runs a picture-perfect restaurant here just a few minutes from Mercurey. Vichy checkered tablecloths and lace doilies at the windows, vintage advertisements, wood paneling… And the local classics: eggs en meurette, snails with parsley butter, calf’s head with gribiche sauce, pikeperch fillet with pôchouse sauce and Sardinian fregola with leeks, beef bourguignon, profiteroles… Local wine.
