On the banks of the Saône River, Marc Boissieux's restaurant is a welcome interlude between Villefranche-sur-Saône and Lyon, with its lovely terrace, guinguette-style dining and warm atmosphere. Particularly popular in summer, the house has developed a pleasant seasonal bistronomy to share, with squid tempura with sriracha mayo, Christian Parra's black pudding with Espelette pepper, roasted scallops and ragoût des bardes, a fine pithiviers, mallard, pigeon, partridge, foie gras and Jerusalem artichokes, a deconstructed lemon/basil tart. Small cellar of Burgundy, Beaujolais and Rhône wines.
