Gault&Millau's review2026
Not far from the main road running north from Quimper, behind the walls of this modest house lies a very fine contemporary gourmet restaurant. Chef Jean-Christophe Despinasse navigates this bourgeois atmosphere with ease and confidence, redefining the codes of the genre with intuition and technique. The €59 menu is very well calibrated, with seasonal offerings that live up to their promises, such as lobster nage, shiitake, miso and lobster emulsion; a return of the peach with pencil leeks, mandarin, iodized yellow wine and walnut juice; farmhouse guinea fowl in medallions, truffle mousseline, potato millefeuille, spring vegetables and supreme sauce; or the must-try chocolate profiteroles. Well-stocked cellar.
