Chef's Restaurant Ugo Plazzotta, who took over from his father, keeps this off-center restaurant alive and well, especially pleasant in summer with its terrace on the banks of the Garonne. Menus without choice, but graduated, a vegetarian menu that's always interesting, and a good price-pleasure ratio mean that this address has enjoyed renewed success for decades. Good value at €55, with the gazpacho of peach and bell pepper, carpaccio of sea bass, green melon and jalapeno pepper, ajvar hake steak (eggplant, bell pepper, chili, smoked garlic) and tomato pickles, and a stuffed saddle of rabbit, plum ketchup and pan-fried chanterelle mushrooms, the best of a generally successful meal, right through to the fig and banyuls dessert. Cellar with 200 references, fairly classic and not too expensive.
