Chef's Restaurant Gaëtan Crespin and his wife Aurélie deserve a lot of credit for keeping this cute inn alive in the heart of a small village, on the edge of the Andaines forest and five minutes from Bagnoles. Because, without going overboard with burgers or kebabs, he sticks to a local gastro style that's good for you. The menu, which is always well composed, is divided into several courses, including asparagus, radish and cider vinegar, wild sea bass with fennel and citrus fruit, veal chuck with cherries and kohlrabi, and strawberries with aniseed and sorrel. Local producers are used to good effect, the dishes are carefully prepared and the service is natural and professional. Small, well-stocked cellar.
