Louis Roederer acquires Diamond Creek Vineyards
Decidedly, and despite the terrible Trump taxes, wine fortunes never stop investing in the United States. The latest is the Roederer champagne group, which has just acquired one of California's most coveted estates: Diamond Creek Vineyards.
The acquisition includes the 32-hectare Diamond Mountain estate in Calistoga, as well as 8 hectares of vineyards, the winemaking buildings and the stock.
Buying Diamond Creek "is an old dream for the Rouzaud family, owners of Roederer", explains Xavier Barlier, vice-president in charge of marketing and communications to the American media, adding that the two families have been friends since 1997.
The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.
