A bottle of rosé bought, a winemaker saved. Let's protect rosé producers. The Force 4 agency is behind an initiative to defend rosé producers. It is mobilizing wine merchants to help winegrowers who are facing a situation that is jeopardizing their business.
Indeed, 2019 was a difficult year for French rosé producers, whose sales to professionals take place between January and March. The 25% Trump Tax on French wines, strikes that impacted winemakers' mobility, the Covid-19 health crisis... all put a strain on the viability of certain estates.
Wine merchants in Paris have responded to the agency's call: each cellar takes stock from a winegrower partnering the operation, and undertakes to sell 1 bottle of rosé to each of its customers who come to buy 1 wine.
