As the next edition of Gourmet Selection takes place in September, the winners of the Best Grocery in France competition have been revealed. A wonderful opportunity to showcase exceptional products.

Since 2019, Gourmet Selection has been rewarding local businesses according to a number of criteria, making the grocer's job a real work of goldsmith. Nothing is left to chance: a well-staged offer, sourcing and local roots, impeccable service, an original concept...

But it was above all their undeniable passion that won over the jury of taste, hospitality and independent trade professionals in the Best Grocery Store in France competition.

A top trio under the sign of discovery

The Gold Medal was won by Bottega Bastiano, which showcases the richness of Italian gastronomy, particularly around products that are richer and less well-known on our side of the Alps. Located in Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire, it celebrates gourmet delights and the passion of meticulous craftsmanship.

The Halmahera grocery store in Le Creusot was awarded the Silver Medal. With products, teas and spices from many regions of the world, its creator promotes the discovery of exceptional products, found nowhere else!

Finally, the Bronze Medal was awarded to l'Instant Divin, a jewel box of passion in the heart of Beaufort-en-Anjou. A place where life is good, and where you can enjoy a wide range of events.

Honorary awards just as significant

In addition to the podium, the jury awarded three honorary prizes. Firstly, the jury's Coup de Cœur, for Maison Paulette in Mesnil-Saint-Denis, a grocery store designed to bring people together in a caring way in the heart of the old family home.

The Best Hope was won by Épicerie d'Emilie in Grignan. Its creator, a former Michelin-starred pastry chef, aims to pass on her passion and French art de vivre.

Finally, Bien & Bon was awarded the Prix de l'Épicerie Rurale, a new category in the competition. This local shop was praised for its essential and committed role in Geüs-d'Oloro.

The jury focused on places that bring people together, and that advocate a certain return to basics... The prizes will be awarded at the next Gourmet Selection trade show, to be held on September 22 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.
