These winemakers have launched a platform to help you find the winery that's right for you

The Fédération des Vignerons Indépendants de Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur-Corse has set up a website to help you find the perfect winery to suit your personality.

Florine Amenta

Imagined as a dating site, the platform promises a wine experience. In June 2025, the Fédération des vignerons indépendants de PACA-Corse launched the "Passez au domaine" platform. The aim: to put curious wine lovers in touch with independent winegrowers, based on criteria of affinity rather than taste.

A quiz to find out your preferences

By accessing the website, the user authorizes the tool to access his or her position. This makes it possible to make an initial sorting: the interested party will mainly be presented with proposals from wineries in their vicinity. The participating wineries are located in Alpes-Maritimes, Var, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and Corsica.

A quick quiz follows. Here, no questions on beverage tastes, but rather on preferences in terms of experience. Among the questions: "Which expression best reflects your way of life, your values...". A multiple-choice questionnaire then appears."À la bonne franquette", "C'est dans les vieux pots qu'on fait les meilleures soupes", "Il faut savoir sortir des sentiers battus"... Five suggestions are made.

To find a winemaker who's 100% right for you

Following the four questions, the consumer is presented with a list ofestates with different percentages. The higher the percentage, the more the criteria match. All that's left to do is click on the link leading to the domain of their choice, selecting it on a map of the region.

"Theidea is really to offer an experience that matches the consumer," explains Michael Latz. Owner of Domaine des Aspras, in Correns (Var), he is one of the initiators of the project. "Beforehand, the 350 participating winegrowers filled in a questionnaire", their answers helping to refine the "matches" with customers.

He explains the genesis of the project: "We asked ourselves what we could do for our members with the financial reserves we had. So we launched a three-year operation to encourage customers to visit our regions. Through a variety of channels, the aim is to attract tourists and consumers to places that are part of the "Cave Particulière" approach in the region and in Corsica."

Four months after the launch of this campaign, the federation is in the process of taking stock of this tool. The ambition is not particularly to expand into other regions. The aim is above all "to target a different audience, perhaps more young people than the usual wine drinkers. Toget away from the traditional path", explains Michael Latz.
